Official 2021 Reticles PDF page 43. SFP — catalog states the TMR 'will measure (subtend) correctly when the riflescope is set to the highest available magnification.' Published at that high-X: 5.00 MIL from center to inner end of thick posts; heavy-line weight 0.40 MIL; fine-line weight 0.12 MIL; integer-mil hash length 0.40 MIL; 0.5-MIL hash length 0.30 MIL; 0.50 MIL increment. Reference magnification is model-max (not a single number across Mark 3HD / VX-Freedom). Classic TMR manual (Part# 67375 p.12) additionally publishes an open center aperture and magnification-dependent fine-line weights (0.06@8x … 0.02@25x); those SFP-classic weights are recorded on the separate classic-TMR / mil-dot source, not mixed into this Mark 3HD drawing. Non-illuminated variant in the 2021 Reticles PDF (no illumination overlay).
How this one was checked
Verified 11 Sep 2026 against 2021 Leupold Reticles PDF page 43 by reading the page's vector strokes (pymupdf), not a raster. Reticle ink is (0.137,0.122,0.125); the callout leaders are gold (0.808,0.689,0.391) and were excluded. Scale 6.205 px/MIL from 0.5-MIL tick spacing, cross-checked four ways: fine line 0.75px=0.121MIL [0.12], heavy post 2.50px=0.403MIL [0.40], post inner end 5.04MIL [5.00], tick pitch 0.50MIL [0.50]. CORRECTED: every hash was stored as a half-extent equal to the published figure, so each was drawn at twice its specified length. Leupold's 0.40MIL and 0.30MIL are TOTAL mark lengths - confirmed twice independently, in the full-reticle view (0.405 / 0.306) and in the page's enlarged detail view (0.412 / 0.320). Integer-MIL marks are now +/-0.20 and half-MIL marks +/-0.15. ADDED: three marks at 10 MIL that the record omitted - left and right on the windage axis (measured 9.99 and 10.00 MIL) and one below centre on the elevation axis (measured 9.94 MIL), each 0.707 MIL long, drawn across the heavy post. There is no mark 10 MIL above centre; the asymmetry is in the drawing and is deliberate. REMOVED: a malformed element at 5 MIL below centre drawn along the vertical line rather than across it - it was a mis-scaled, mis-oriented attempt at the 10-MIL mark. MEASURED, NOT PUBLISHED: the 0.12MIL Fine Lines callout describes the crosshair (5.53px=0.1219MIL in the detail view), not the marks - hash strokes measure 3.95px=0.0871MIL. Hash weight is modelled as 0.075 from the FULL-RETICLE view, which is the reticle itself: it measures 0.46px=0.074MIL there, and page 27's independent full view of the same reticle agrees at 0.075. The enlarged detail view's 0.087 was NOT used - it is a separate illustration whose strokes do not scale proportionally (hash:line is 0.71 in the detail against 0.61 and 0.62 in the two full views). The crosshair keeps the published 0.12. Post outer ends are drawn to 22 MIL, which is the figure's extent, not a spec; the record's 20 is a clamp and is unchanged. CHECKLIST (docs/verification-pipeline.md), explicit negatives: no fine sub-scale near centre - every tick gap measures 3.10px=0.50MIL, the only exception being the 6.21px gap where the centre tick is absent; no printed numerals anywhere on the reticle; no floating centre element (the non-illuminated variant has no dot). All six printed callouts are represented in the geometry: 5.00MIL post inner end, 0.40MIL heavy line, 0.12MIL fine line, 0.50MIL tick pitch, 0.40MIL integer mark, 0.30MIL half mark. Marks sit CENTRED on their axis, not to one side (tick centre 279.795 against axis centre 279.765) - checked because one-sided alternating marks are a known trap. NOT MODELLED, cosmetic: each of the four arms ramps from fine line to heavy post over 1.00px=0.161MIL; the record steps instantly at 5.00MIL. Symmetric on all four arms, no chevron or point. Comparison was rendered with svg_for, which draws hline/vline/post/hash as plain stroked lines exactly as reticle_painter.dart does; this record uses no taper, so the 11 Sep renderer divergence does not apply.
