In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Drawn to scale from Leupold’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Framed to about 12 MRAD — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 45 MRAD; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.
Drawn from Leupold & Stevens, Inc.’s published specification.

Official Leupold 2021 Mark 5HD reticle manual, page 19 (FFP PR2-MIL). Published on that page: 1.00 / 0.50 / 0.25 / 0.12 / 0.10 MIL marks, 0.05 MIL large dot, 0.03 MIL small dot, 0.03 MIL fine lines. || Rebuilt 14 Sep 2026 from the REDUCED FULL-RETICLE view at the top of the page rather than the magnified centre detail. The detail view shows about 4 mil of reticle, so the three earlier passes could only guess at everything beyond it, and the guesses were wrong where it matters: the windage was recorded to 6 mil and runs to 10, the elevation to 30 and it runs to 44, and the heavy posts were at 6.6-30 mil and 0.41 thick against a measured 12.76-45 and 0.50. Fourteen mil of elevation hold and four of windage were simply missing from the record. || The reticle: a dashed mil cross, windage to +-10, elevation 2 up and 44 down; a tree below centre with dots on the odd rows (large on whole mils, small on halves) and a ticked dashed line on the even rows, numbered 2 to 10 at both ends, widening 1 mil of half-width per 2 mil of drop to +-5 at 10; the elevation line numbered every 2 mil from 12 to 44; a 0.1 mil ruler of nine teeth between 3 and 4 mil on the left, right and downward arms, where the axis goes solid; heavy posts from the field-of-view edge in to 12.76 mil, finishing in a taper to a point at 10.27.
Verified 14 Sep 2026 against page 19 of Leupold's 2021 reticle manual by reading the PDF's vector geometry with pymupdf (tools/build_leupold_pr2mil.py regenerates this record from the file). Scale 3.01455 pt/mil about (201.587, 290.2507), fitted to the twenty whole-mil windage ticks with a worst residual of 0.0005 pt; the ticks run to exactly +-10 mil. || The earlier passes could not settle whether the reduced view was 3.01 or 6.02 pt/mil, which is why the posts stayed unverified. Three independent measurements settle it: the whole-mil marks are 0.506 mil long and the half-mil marks reach 0.128 from the axis, against published 0.50 and 0.12; the small tree dots are 0.0299 against a published 0.03; and the 25x and 35x field-of-view circles come out 14.0 and 9.5 mil across, which is what a Mark 5HD 7-35x56 gives. At 6.02 pt/mil the dots would be 0.015 and the field of view 4.8 mil. || All eight published dimensions now land on a measured feature: 1.00 spacing (fitted), 0.50 mark length (0.506), 0.25 spacing (0.250), 0.12 mark length (0.128), 0.10 ruler pitch (0.099), 0.05 large dot (0.043), 0.03 small dot (0.0299), 0.03 fine line (drawn 0.042, published figure taken). || Three things are taken from the drawing because the page never states them, and nothing a shooter holds on depends on them: the tree row ticks are 0.44 long where the main axis uses 0.50, the post shoulder sits at 12.76 mil and its taper ends at 10.27, and the dash texture of the axes and rows is copied from the vectors rather than generated. The posts' outer end is the drawing's field-of-view circle at 45 mil, not a reticle feature.
