Drawn to scale from Leupold’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Framed to about 40 MOA — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 110 MOA; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.
Drawn from Leupold & Stevens, Inc.’s published specification.
In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.
Leupold Pig-Plex (VX-Freedom) spec sheet, linked from the leupold.com product page VX-Freedom 1.5-4x20 Pig-Plex. Sheet text: measures correctly at the highest available magnification (4x). Published: 0.8 MOA fine lines, 8.1 MOA heavy lines, ring 4.5 MOA (outer radius - see verifiedNote), windage marks at 11.0 MOA, 3.7 MOA long, hold marks at 8.6 and 12.6 MOA below centre, 2.7 MOA long, bottom post at 17.3 MOA. Structure: a ring around centre with the fine cross running through it; one windage mark each side; two hold marks below; heavy posts left, right and below, each tapering from the fine line to full width over a long run (side posts from 27.68 to 43.49, bottom from 17.3 to 33.08; measured, not published - drawn as a taper element over the fine line, which matches the sheet's straight-sided wedge to within the fine line's width at the tip); no top post. Ring thickness is not published: measured 0.68 MOA. Posts and the upper vertical are drawn to 110 MOA, a display convention.
Verified 9 Oct 2026 against Pig-Plex__VX-Freedom__Reticle_Spec_Sheet.pdf page 1, read from the VECTOR outline (one 91-vertex path per view, plus four quarter-discs that hollow the ring) with pymupdf (tools/build_leupold_wave2.py). Two magnified views measured independently: left 3.180 pt/MOA, right 3.180 pt/MOA, each fitted to the four published positions (11.0, 8.6, 12.6, 17.3). At the left view's scale every callout lands: 4.5 ring (outer radius) 4.49 [4.5]; 8.6 hold 8.60 [8.6]; 12.6 hold 12.60 [12.6]; 17.3 post 17.27 [17.3]; 11.0 windage mark 11.04 [11.0]; 3.7 windage mark length 3.63 [3.7]; 2.7 hold mark length 2.65 [2.7]; 0.8 fine 0.81 [0.8]; 8.1 heavy 8.11 [8.1]. The views agree on every unpublished feature to 0.05 MOA (post taper ends, ring radii). Checklist walked: ring present and hollow, the fine cross continuous through it (no centre dot); one mark each side on the windage and two below, all centred on their line; no numerals; post tips tapered on three arms, no top post; extents to the field ring; every callout mapped (the '4.5' leader sits on the ring's outer edge, so 4.5 is the outer radius, not a diameter).
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
