Subtensions

Official 2021 Reticles PDF page 6. Published angular values identical to non-illum Boone & Crockett page 5 (2.2 / 4.8 / 6.3 / 7.8 MOA holds; 2.2 / 3.0 MOA bar widths; 0.7 / 0.2 MOA line weights). Inner stadia and hold bars are the illuminated portion. SFP, true at highest available magnification. Illumination: official 2021 Reticles PDF p.6 draws the inner crosshair and holdover bars in red; heavy outer posts stay black. 2026 catalog lists this as FireDot Boone & Crockett. Colour red from the overlay.

How this one was checked

Verified 11 Sep 2026 against 2021 Leupold Reticles PDF page 6. Read from vector strokes (pymupdf). This page splits by colour: the ILLUMINATED reticle is red (0.93,0.111,0.141) and the black duplex is ink (0.137,0.122,0.125), with gold leaders (0.808,0.689,0.391). The page carries three red views at different scales; the enlarged ones are CLIPPED, so extents were taken from the full-reticle view and only cross-checked against the enlargements. Scale 18.02 px/MOA in the large view, from all three published drops at once - 2.2/4.8/6.3 MOA measure 39.615/86.841/113.201 px, giving 18.01/18.09/17.97. Confirmed by fine line 0.219MOA [0.2] and heavy line 0.68MOA [0.7]. CORRECTED, a half-width read as a total - the OPPOSITE of the page-43 TMR error. The printed 2.2MOA and 3.0MOA bar widths are the reach from the vertical line to each bar tip, not the whole bar: measured 2.183 and 3.064 in the large view, and 2.18 and 3.06 independently in the medium view. The record stored them as totals (+/-1.1 and +/-1.5) and so drew both wind bars at half size. Now +/-2.2 and +/-3.0. CORRECTED, element type: the two wind bars are WEDGES, not bars. Each is 0.051 MOA tall where it meets the vertical line and flares to 0.451 at its outer end. They are now `taper`, which reticle_painter.dart fills as a triangle; drawn as plain hashes they were uniform-thickness sticks. This is why an axis-aligned run extraction found no edges for them - the edges are slanted. CORRECTED, three missing posts. The record had ONE post (below centre) and ran plain 0.2 MOA lines out to +/-30 elsewhere. It is a duplex: heavy posts on all four arms, 0.68 MOA thick, from 2.56 MOA on the top/left/right arms and 7.85 below, running to 51.4 (the view edge, not a spec). The fine illuminated cross is only +/-2.38 MOA horizontally and +2.38/-7.68 vertically - measured in the unclipped full view - so almost everything the record drew as thin line is heavy post on the sheet. NOT MODELLED, cosmetic: each post tip tapers from 0.22 to 0.68 MOA over 0.47 MOA before reaching full width; the record steps at 2.56. The small bar at 6.3 MOA has NO published width. Measured 0.34 MOA reach, 0.22 thick, and recorded as measured - the record previously carried an unsourced +/-0.6.
