In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Drawn to scale from Nightforce’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

Official MOA-C sheet (REV 1225). Published letters: A and B per model — NX6 3-18 A=.14 B=Ø.14 G=.95; NX6 5-30 A=.12 B=Ø.12 G=.81; NX6 6-36 A=.11 B=Ø.11 G=.75 — and C=.5, D=2, E=1, F=1, H=2 MOA for all models. Nightforce's own text: an MOA adaptation of the Mil-C, floating centre dot, thick bars outside the main stadia, consistent numbering. Like the Mil-C this is a numbered ladder and has no hold grid; the marks below centre are stadia, not a tree.
Re-verified 11 Sep 2026 against the Nightforce MOA-C Reticle Sheet (REV 1225), page 1, rasterised at 400 dpi. Scale FITTED to the mark sequence rather than a guessed pitch: 25.430 px/MOA vertical over 45 marks, 25.942 horizontal over 41, both 0.4 px max residual; centre px (1534.1, 2389.3). The sheet is drawn for the NX6 6-36x56 F1 column — numerals measure 0.75 MOA against G=.75 for that model — so A=.11 and B=Ø.11. MEASURED: hash every 1 MOA; long 1.97 MOA centred on every 4th (D=2); minors 0.50 and ONE-SIDED, alternating — odd below the horizontal and right of the vertical, even above and left (C=.5); the marks at +/-1 on the vertical are 0.94 centred (E/F=1); floating centre dot Ø0.11 (B) with the crosshair arms ending at +/-0.54; horizontal +/-20 numbered every 4; vertical +12 above to -51 below, numbered every 4 to 40 and unnumbered beyond; posts +/-21.0 to +/-51.6 at 2 MOA (H), no bottom post. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS VERIFIED AND WRONG: it numbered every 5 MOA, drew every minor centred at 1.0 MOA, had no vertical numerals and stopped at 40.
