In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.
Reticle library · Nightforce
Drawn to scale from Nightforce’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Framed to about 12 MRAD — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 30 MRAD; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.
Drawn from Nightforce Optics, Inc.’s published specification.
In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.
Official FC-MRx sheet, MRAD column: A=0.2 centre dot; B=4.25 segmented circle (outer); C=20; D=1; E=5; F=2; G=0.06; H=1; I=0.5; J=1.2; K=0.5. Sheet text: 1 MRAD aiming grid extends to 20 MRAD. The grid is a christmas tree, not a rectangle: +/-1 at row 1, widening a column a row to +/-5 from row 5 down to 20. Even rows carry a 0.2 MRAD dot and odd rows from row 3 a 0.146 MRAD one, so 2 MRAD steps can be counted; rows 1 and 2 are both drawn fat. The sheet draws the crosshair, circle and centre dot in red and the grid dots and bars in black - taken as which parts illuminate, and recorded per element.
Rebuilt 15 Sep 2026 from the FC-MRx sheet (REV 1225), page 1, upper-left disc, at 5.5934 pt/mrad. Page 1 of the sheet is to-scale VECTOR artwork, so this was read from the drawing operators rather than measured off a raster: every mark comes back as an exact rectangle, which is what catches a mark that is in the right place and the wrong length. Scale was fitted to the aiming grid (1 MRAD pitch to +/-5) with the optical centre taken from the centre dot itself. Page 2 is a raster and is stamped "Reticles not to scale" - do not measure it; it is useful only for reading which feature each dimension letter points at. All eleven published letters were walked and each one lands on a measured feature: A the centre dot, B the OUTER diameter of the segmented circle, C the windage scale, D the grid pitch, E its half width, F the heavy bar thickness, G the line weight, H and I the major and minor tick SPACING (not their length), and J and K the side and top gaps in the circle, which are chords measured at the outer radius. MEASURED: windage runs to +/-10 with minors every 0.5 at 0.2 long, whole-mil marks 1.0 long except the 1 and 2 mil marks, shortened to 0.4 to clear the circle, 5 at 2.0 and 10 at 3.0; elevation identical in the other direction, whole mils 1.0 wide and halves 0.2, to 20 mil. Circle outer diameter 4.249 against a published 4.25, ring 0.249 thick, cut by a 0.500 gap at 12 o'clock (K=0.5) and a 1.228 gap where the windage line crosses (J=1.2). Bars taper from a point at 11 mil to full 2 mil width at 20, and below centre from 21 to 30; their outer ends are the artwork's own bound (the sheet draws them past its field-of-view circle at 28.2 mrad), not a published subtension. 180 grid dots over 20 rows. Mark positions are put on the published 0.5 MRAD graduation rather than taken from the drawing; the largest correction that needed was 0.03 MRAD.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
