Nightforce Mil-CF2D (NX8 4-32x50 F2)

Drawn to scale from Nightforce’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

Nightforce Mil-CF2D (NX8 4-32x50 F2) — second focal plane, MRAD subtensions, 4–32×

Framed to about 12 MRAD — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 18 MRAD; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.

Nightforce Mil-CF2 / Mil-CF2D Reticle Sheet (REV 0720) page 2, Mil-CF2D column, measured @ 16x, MRAD: A=20 horizontal scale, B=0.029 line, C=0.2 half-length .2 marks, D=0.6 whole-mil marks, E=0.1 gap from the dot to the lines, F=0.2 the centred marks at +/-0.2 on the vertical, G=0.2 mark pitch, H=1.0 whole-mil pitch, I=0.34 numeral height, J=0.23 32x numeral height, K=0.05 illuminated centre dot, L=0.1 the half marks at +/-0.2 on the horizontal (hanging below), M=0.2 gap from the last mark to the post tip, N=0.25 and O=0.5 post. Marks alternate sides as on MIL-C: on the vertical .2/.8 left and .4/.6 right, on the horizontal .2/.8 below and .4/.6 above; whole mils centred. Vertical runs +5 to -12; no bottom or top post. Side posts are a hollow chevron (drawn here as a solid taper, tip 10.2 to 10.76) then two rails at +/-0.206 (0.087 thick) with the fine line between, then a solid bar from 11.69. Second focal plane: 16x scale (A=20, numerals 2-10 / 2-12) with the 32x scale printed as the small numerals 1-5 / 1-6 (J=.23 at 16x); at 32x every subtension is half the 16x value. Below -10 the drawing places every mark 0.17 mil low (the first gap below -10 is drawn 0.37 instead of 0.2; artwork offset, the L/R/R/L/whole side pattern and the numerals 12 / 6 move with it). The record follows the published 0.2 mil graduation (G).

How this one was checked

Verified 9 Oct 2026 against Nightforce NF_MIL-CF2_Reticle Sheet (REV 0720, specs/nightforce/NF_MIL-CF2_Reticle_Sheet.pdf) page 2, lower (Mil-CF2D) drawing, read as VECTOR. Scale fitted by least squares to 98 axis marks: 12.947 pt/mil, worst residual 0.005 mil. Every one of the 85 vertical and 100 horizontal marks the sheet draws matches the published-graduation rule in position (worst 0.032 mil) and both ends (within 0.03), side included, and every rule mark is drawn. Measured against the table: A=20, E=0.1, B drawn 0.033, M (post tip) 0.240, O 0.500, N (rail outer edge) 0.253; C, D, F, L by the mark rule; G and H by the pitch; I and J are the label sizes; K the dot. Numerals read from the sheet's text layer, positions measured. Post shoulder/rail/solid positions measured (unpublished). The 0.17 mil artwork offset below -10 is described in the notes. Cross-checked by overlay against a raster of the sheet (tools/nf_wave2_lib.crosscheck). All lettered dimensions represented. Reference 16x from the sheet's 'Measured @' row.
