In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Drawn from Vortex Optics’s published specification.

Published: windage and elevation hashes every 2 MOA, alternating .7 and 1.5 long (the long ones at every 4 MOA); side posts start at 18 and are 1.7 thick; bottom post starts at 30. Drawn, not published (the sheet is to scale): every hash centred on its line and as thick as it; windage hashes to 16, elevation hashes to 28; nothing above centre but the plain line. Posts drawn to 40 MOA (the sheet's frame is 31.3). The red centre dot is illuminated; the sheet draws it 0.40 across, oversized, and the published diameter is recorded. SFP; the sheet states the subtensions 'correspond to 20x magnification' - NOT the 25x maximum - and the record is referenced at 20x. Line .25, centre dot .1.
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_VPR-52503_VMR-3_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 5.75 pt/MOA from the 2 MOA hash pitch, centre (198.0, 221.1); each arm profiled at 0.04 pt with text removed. Measured: line 0.243-0.250 (.25), short / long hashes 0.70 / 1.49 (.7 / 1.5), side posts 18.00 and 1.70 (18 / 1.7), bottom post 30.0 (30); hashes at every 2 MOA to 16 (windage) and 28 (elevation), each centred on the line (offsets under 0.01, no one-sided marks). The one callout that fails is the centre dot, drawn 0.40 across against a published 0.1: the published diameter is recorded (VMR-2 rule). No numerals on this reticle.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
