Vortex EBR-4 MOA — second focal plane, MOA subtensions, 3–15×
Official EBR-4 MOA SFP manual, page 3, Viper PST 3-15x44 SFP panel. Published for this model: line weights 0.13 outer and 0.27 inner; marks 0.75 and 1.5 long; heavy bars from 34 windage and 36 elevation, 3 thick with a 1.5 inner step; tree bars 1, 4 and 8. The tree runs 2 to 32 MOA on every whole MOA, 8 wide on every 4th row, 4 on the other even rows and 1 on the odd ones - EXCEPT row 2, which is drawn 1 where the pattern says 4. The inner scale is graduated every 1 MOA to 12 and the outer every 0.5 beyond it, with a fine hairline cross through the middle out to 1.87. SFP: values are stated to be accurate only at the highest magnification, 15x. NOTE the other panel on the same page scales by exactly 0.6 in its extents and line weights but has a different number of tree rows, so the two models are different etchings and neither record is derived from the other.
How this one was checked
Built 15 Sep 2026 from the EBR-4 MOA SFP manual (VTX_PST-EBR4-SFP-MOA-5A), page 3, the Viper PST 3-15x44 SFP panel, read as VECTOR artwork: 2.4640 pt/MOA fitted to the outer scale's 0.5 MOA graduation, the tightest even run on the drawing. This record was BLOCKED before - the queue recorded that the tree could not be reconciled with the only three published bar widths. It reconciles exactly: those three widths, 1, 4 and 8, are the ONLY three on the tree, assigned 8 to every 4th row, 4 to the other even rows and 1 to the odd ones, with row 2 the one exception at 1 where the pattern gives 4. That exception is why it had to be measured and could not be reasoned out. Ten published callouts land on the fitted scale, listed in the checks this builder runs. The manual calls its reticle images representational, so every figure the manual publishes is taken from the text and only the structure - which row is which width, where the graduation changes, where the hairline cross ends - is taken from the drawing.
