Vortex VMR-2 MOA

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.

Subtensions

SFP; the sheet: subtensions 'correspond to the highest magnification' (6x). The centre dot is illuminated (drawn red). Published: line .5; posts 1.75 thick, side posts from 35 and the bottom post from 45; marks 3 and 1.5 long, 4 MOA apart; centre dot .5. Drawn, not published (the sheet is to scale): windage marks at 4, 8, 12, 16 each side and elevation marks at 4 to 24 below, alternating 1.5 (at 4, 12, 20) and 3 (at 8, 16, 24); nothing above centre but the plain line, drawn the SAME .5 weight as below (the Razor version's sheet publishes a heavier .6 top line; this one does not). The centre dot is drawn 0.70; the record carries the published .5. Posts drawn to 51.4 MOA (the sheet's frame is 49).

How this one was checked

Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_PST-1605_VMR-2_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 3.67457 pt/MOA from the side-post start, centre (198.425, 221.103) = the red centre dot; every published callout then lands except the centre dot, drawn oversized and recorded at its published diameter (listed in tools/build_vortex_vmr2_sheets.py). Geometry converted exactly from the single reticle outline - rectangles cut from its own vertices - so mark positions, lengths, centring and extents are the drawing's own.

Subtensions are published by the manufacturer and reproduced here for reference. Confirm your own dope on a range before you rely on any of it. Harson.ai is not affiliated with Vortex.
