In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Drawn from Vortex Optics’s published specification.

SFP; the sheet: subtensions 'correspond to a magnification of 18x' - not the 24x top of the zoom. Published: line and hashes .045; hashes .4 at whole mils and .2 at half mils, 1 and .5 apart; side posts start at 5, bottom post at 9; posts .5 thick. Drawn, not published (the sheet is to scale): hashes every 0.5 mil to 4.5 left, right and up and to 8.5 down, all centred on the line; the top post also starts at 5. No numerals; not illuminated. Posts drawn to 10 mil (the sheet's frame is 9.5).
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_VHS-4310_VMR-1_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 18.8976 pt/mil from the side-post start (94.488 pt = 5) and the 0.5-mil hash pitch, centre (198.0, 212.6); all eight published callouts land (listed in tools/build_vortex_vmr1_mrad.py). Geometry converted exactly from the single reticle outline - rectangles cut from its own vertices - so hash count, widths, centring and extents are the drawing's own.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
Subtensions are published by the manufacturer and reproduced here for reference. Confirm your own dope on a range before you rely on any of it. Harson.ai is not affiliated with Vortex.
