In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Drawn from Vortex Optics’s published specification.

Official per-scope sheet(s) publish three subtensions: 6.68 (centre to where the fine line meets the post), 0.46 (fine line) and 1.85 (post), MOA at the highest magnification. Plain duplex - no hashes, no holdover points. The fine line widens to the post along a straight shoulder 0.695 MOA long, drawn as a taper into the post. Posts are drawn to 40 MOA; on the scope they run to the edge of the field. Sheets: VTX_CF2-31035_V-PLEX_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf (1-4x24). Sheet notes: 'Subtensions measured in MOA and correspond to the highest magnification. Reticle image shown for representation only. Reticle image varies between riflescope models depending on magnification and reticle plane.'
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against Vortex's per-scope sheet(s), specs/vortex/VTX_CF2-31035_V-PLEX_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf (1-4x24), page 1. Scale 16.717 pt/MOA from the 6.68 dimension arrow. Outline: fine line 0.458 (published .46), post 1.851 (1.85), shoulder 6.680 -> 7.375, 45 degrees. Scale is taken from one published dimension and every other callout is then checked against it; all three land. The sheet says 'representation only', so the record carries the published numbers; the drawing supplies the structure (the shoulder). Bezier ON-curve vertices read directly from the PDF, and the arms profiled at 0.04 pt with text removed.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
