In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Drawn from Vortex Optics’s published specification.

Official sheet publishes five subtensions: diameter 1.5 (illuminated centre), 0.59, 2.3, 6 and 12.5 MOA, at the highest magnification. The V-Plex format with an illuminated centre dot. SFP, so the subtensions hold only at 4x.
Verified 16 Sep 2026 against Vortex's own V-Brite subtension sheet (VTX_CF2-31037, Crossfire II 1-4x24). Scale 10.667 pt/MOA, taken from the illuminated centre diamond measuring 16.0 pt against its published diameter of 1.5. The other four published figures then land without any adjustment, which is the check that the scale is right rather than merely fitted: the thin crosshair measures 0.588 against a published 0.59, the thick post 2.294 against 2.3, the clear gap across centre 5.98 against 6, and the step from thin to thick at 12.463 against 12.5. ALL FIVE map. STRUCTURE: an illuminated 1.5 MOA centre dot, nothing drawn inside 2.99 MOA either side of it, a 0.59 thick crosshair from there out to 12.5, and a 2.3 thick post beyond. The sheet is marked 'reticle image shown for representation only', so numbers are taken from the callouts - the rule settled for the Vortex VMR-2. Like V-Plex the reticle is drawn as bezier outlines rather than the rectangles the Athlon sheets use, so to_rects does not apply; the ON-curve endpoints are exact and reading those gives the stepped post directly. Scoped to the 1-4x24 deliberately - the sheet says the image varies between riflescope models with magnification and reticle plane.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
