Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked
mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Vortex HSR-5i MRAD — second focal plane, MRAD subtensions, 3–15×
SFP; the sheet: 'subtensions measured in MRAD and correspond to the highest magnification' (15x on this scope). Published: illuminated centre dot .1; line .05; marks .5 mil apart; horizontal half-mil hashes .3 tall; vertical hashes .6 (half mil) and 1 (whole mil) wide; side posts .4 thick, pointed, starting 4.25 from centre. Drawn, not published (the sheet is exactly to scale): lines open 0.25 around the dot; horizontal whole-mil hashes .6 tall, marks to 4 mil each side; the vertical scale runs below centre only, every 0.5 mil to 10, except the first mark at 0.5 which is 0.5 wide; nothing above centre; the post points run 4.25 to 4.75. Numerals 2 / 4 under the horizontal arms, 2-10 right of the vertical. Posts drawn to 12 mil. Reticle image shown for representation only. Reticle image varies between riflescope models depending on magnification and reticle plane.
How this one was checked
Verified 9 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_RZR-31502_HSR-5i_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1 (re-downloaded from the source URL the same day, byte-identical). Scale 17.0885 pt/mil fitted to the 4.25 dimension (centre to post tip), centre (198.0, 221.102) = the red dot; geometry converted exactly from the vector outlines. Every published callout is checked in tools/build_vortex_wave2.py and lands. Checklist walked: rows and extents, hash spacing, numerals, centre element and gap, post tips, which side of the line each mark sits (all centred unless the notes say otherwise), every callout.
Use it on your own rifle
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it,
from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
Subtensions are published by the manufacturer and reproduced here for reference.
