Subtensions

SFP; the sheet: 'subtensions measured in MOA and correspond to magnification at 40x' - NOT the 60x top of the zoom. Published: centre dot .095; line .016; posts .13, side posts from 6, bottom post from 10; horizontal ticks .25 at odd MOA and .5 at even; vertical hashes .75 at even MOA. Drawn, not published (the sheet is to scale): horizontal ticks hang BELOW the line only, every MOA from 1 to 5; vertical hashes below centre every MOA to 9, centred, .25 at odd MOA; open 0.5 around the dot; no line above centre; numerals 2 / 4 under the horizontal arms and 2-8 beside the vertical scale. The line is drawn 0.020 on the sheet; the record carries the published .016. Posts drawn to 11.1 MOA (the sheet's frame is 10.6). Not illuminated.

How this one was checked

Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_TCS-1503_ECR-1_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 17.008 pt/MOA from the 1-MOA tick pitch, centre (198.425, 221.103) = the centre dot; every published callout lands except the .016 line, drawn 0.020 and recorded as published (listed in tools/build_vortex_ecr1.py). Geometry converted exactly from the outlines' own vertices, so the below-only horizontal ticks, the open centre and the extents are the drawing's own; numerals placed from glyph outlines.

Subtensions are published by the manufacturer and reproduced here for reference. Confirm your own dope on a range before you rely on any of it. Harson.ai is not affiliated with Vortex.
