In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

FFP: 'subtensions measured in MOA and remain constant at all magnifications'. Published: illuminated .75 centre dot inside a broken illuminated ring 2 thick and 12 across; holdover hashes at 2.4 / 5.6 / 9.5 / 14.6 below centre, 4 / 3 / 2.4 / 2 wide; line and hashes .45; bottom wedge tip at 19; ranging ladder above centre (1-10x24 sheet): base bar 2 wide at 20, bars 6.4 / 7.6 / 9.6 / 12.7 above it (26.4 / 27.6 / 29.6 / 32.7), 2.9 / 3.4 / 4.3 / 5.7 wide, all .3 thick, numbered 6 / 5 / 4 / 3 - an 18 x 40 inch silhouette at 600-300 yds. No line between the dot and the first hash and no horizontal line - wedge posts only. Drawn, not published (the sheet is to scale): wind dots 0.5 across at row 2.4: 3.33; row 5.6: 2.37, 4.75; row 9.5: 3.18, 6.37; row 14.6: 4.10, 8.21; side wedges also tip at 19, 1.56 wide at the sheet's 34.8 MOA frame (they run on to the field edge on the scope); ring gaps -22.5 to +30 and 45 to 135 degrees. The centre dot is DRAWN 0.70 against a published .75, and the 6.4 and 9.6 ladder bars are drawn 0.1 low (6.3, 9.5); the record carries the published values. The 1-8x24 and 1-10x24 sheets draw the same reticle - their ink outlines are identical.
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_SE-1801_EBR-8_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 5.1745 pt/MOA fitted to the four holdover hash centres in the 32-vertex line-and-hash outline (ON-curve vertices read from the PDF). Then: hash widths 4 / 3 / 2.4 / 2 land to 0.005, line .45 lands, ring thickness 2 and outer diameter 12 land, the 19 bottom wedge tip lands (19.016). The ninth callout, the .75 dot, is drawn 0.70 - recorded at the published .75 (VMR-2 rule). Checklist: rows and widths (1-2); numerals 4 / 5 / 6 and the ladder's 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 placed from glyph boxes (3); dot floating, no line reaches it (4); all three wedges point inward, tips at 19 (5); extents to the frame (6); callouts walked (7); hashes centred, none one-sided (8). Re-checked the same day against specs/vortex/VTX_SE-11001_EBR-8-BDC_MOA_1-10x24_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf (1-10x24): identical ink outlines, and its extra ladder callouts land at the same scale (20, 2, .3, 2.9 / 3.4 / 4.3 / 5.7, 7.6, 12.7) except 6.4 and 9.6, drawn 6.3 and 9.5 - recorded as published.
