In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Drawn from Vortex Optics’s published specification.
In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.
FFP; the sheet: 'subtensions measured in MRAD and remain constant at all magnifications'. The centre scales are illuminated (drawn red). Published: centre dot .045, grid dots .07 and .12, top line .04, side and bottom lines .05, side/top lines start at 10.1 and the bottom line at 10.5, whole-mil hash .4, red tenth hash .15, outer tenth tick .125 and half-mil tick .175 from the axis, red marks .2 apart and outer marks .1 apart. Drawn, not published (the drawing is to scale; read exactly from the vectors): red (illuminated) centre scales to 6 mil left, right and up and to 10 mil down, open 0.1 at the centre dot. Vertical red scale: centred .4 hashes at whole mils, .15 at every 0.2 mil. Horizontal red scale is NOT the same: whole-mil hashes run from 0.2 above to 0.2 below with the lower half heavier (.05), half-mil ticks hang BELOW only to 0.15 (heavier outer part), and the 0.2-mil ticks stand ABOVE only to 0.125. Black outer scales from 6.1 to 10 mil left, right and up: .4 at whole mils, half-mil ticks on ONE side only (below the horizontal, left of the vertical) and tenth ticks ALTERNATING sides; lines from 10.1 (side, top) and 10.5 (bottom) run to the frame. Holdover grid: a dot row at every mil from 1 to 10 below centre, dots every 0.2 mil, the whole-mil dots the large ones, rows widening from +/-2 mil (rows 1-2) by 1 mil every two rows to +/-6 (rows 9-10). Numerals 2-10 on the horizontal arms, 2 / 4 / 6 up, and 2-10 beside the even grid rows. Lines drawn to 12.97 mil (past the sheet's 12.35 frame).
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_RZR-42402_EBR-7D_MRAD_RS_I_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 14.5725 pt/mil fitted to the outermost hashes, centre (198.0, 221.1) = the red centre dot; every published callout then lands (listed in tools/build_vortex_ebr7d.py). Geometry converted exactly from the vector outlines - every rectilinear ink subpath cut into rectangles from its own vertex coordinates, one element each - so rows, widths, spacing, which side of the line each tick sits (outer tenths alternate, half-mil / 1-MOA ticks one-sided), gaps and extents are the drawing's own. Grid dots taken only on the grid (numeral loops rejected); numeral positions from their glyph outlines, text from the value of the mark they label.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
