In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Drawn from Vortex Optics’s published specification.

FFP; the sheet: 'subtensions measured in MOA and remain constant at all magnifications'. The centre scales are illuminated (drawn red). Published: centre dot .1, grid dots .15 and .3, top line .1, side and bottom lines .2, side/top lines start at 28.5 and the bottom line at 38, red 4-MOA hash 1.25 and 1-MOA hash .5, outer 2-MOA tick .75 and 1-MOA tick .5 from the axis, red marks 1 MOA apart and outer marks .5 apart. Every position matches the 4-24x44 sheet; the finer weights are this scope's. The small grid dots are drawn 0.2 on this sheet and in the Gen III reticle manual (M-00312); recorded at the published .15. Drawn, not published (the drawing is to scale; read exactly from the vectors): red (illuminated) centre scales to 16 MOA left, right and up and to 36 down, open 0.5 at the centre dot. Vertical red scale: centred 1.25 hashes every 4 MOA and .5 every other MOA. Horizontal red scale is NOT the same: 4-MOA hashes run 0.75 above to 0.75 below (1.5 overall) and 2-MOA hashes 0.5 above to 0.6 below, both heavier (.175) on the lower part; odd-MOA ticks stand ABOVE only, to 0.5. Black outer scales from 16.5 to 28 MOA left, right and up: 1.5 hashes every 4 MOA, 2-MOA ticks reaching .75 and 1-MOA ticks .5 on one side (above the horizontal / right of the vertical), half-MOA ticks .5 on the other side; lines from 28.5 (side, top) and 38 (bottom) run to the frame. Holdover grid: a dot row every 4 MOA from 4 to 36 below centre, dots every MOA, every 4th the large one, rows widening from +/-8 (row 4) by 4 MOA every two rows to +/-24 (rows 32, 36). Numerals 4-28 on the horizontal arms, 4-16 up, and beside every grid row. Lines drawn to 47.85 MOA (past the sheet's 45.6 frame).
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_RZR-63601_EBR-7D_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 3.94995 pt/MOA fitted to the outermost hashes, centre (198.0, 221.1) = the red centre dot; every published callout then lands (listed in tools/build_vortex_ebr7d.py) except one: small grid dots published .15, drawn 0.20 - recorded .15 (rule 4: one dimension may fail). Geometry converted exactly from the vector outlines - every rectilinear ink subpath cut into rectangles from its own vertex coordinates, one element each - so rows, widths, spacing, which side of the line each tick sits (outer tenths alternate, half-mil / 1-MOA ticks one-sided), gaps and extents are the drawing's own. Grid dots taken only on the grid (numeral loops rejected); numeral positions from their glyph outlines, text from the value of the mark they label.
