In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Drawn from Vortex Optics’s published specification.
In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.
FFP; the sheets: 'subtensions measured in MRAD and remain constant at all magnifications'. Built from the per-scope sheet(s) PST-3159_EBR-7C_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST (same drawing as PST-5259_EBR-7C_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST, RZR-42708_EBR-7C_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST), which override the EBR-7C reticle manuals: Vortex etches TWO EBR-7C layouts and the manuals draw only one. Published for these scopes: side bars .5 thick from 10.1; bottom bar from 11; top line .03; centre dot .04; grid dots .06 and .09; marks .5 (whole mil), .3 (half) and .2 (tenths), .2 apart and .1 apart on the fine scale. This layout: bars from 10.1 mil with the horizontal scale running to 10. Drawn, not published (the other callouts land on one scale, so the structure is read from the drawing): converted exactly from the vector outlines - every mark and which side of the line it hangs, the floating centre dot, the holdover dot grid (rows widening with depth), its dot pitch, the bar ticks, and the numerals. The centre scales are illuminated (drawn red). Lines and bars drawn to 13 mil.
Verified 9 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_PST-3159_EBR-7C_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1 (re-downloaded from the source URL the same day, byte-identical). Scale 14.1698 pt/mil fitted to the grid rows, centre (198.0, 221.102) = the centre dot; geometry converted exactly from the vector outlines; PST-5259_EBR-7C_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST, RZR-42708_EBR-7C_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST draw(s) the same outlines (compared outline for outline). Every published callout is checked in tools/build_vortex_wave2.py and lands. Checklist walked: rows and extents, hash spacing, numerals, centre element and gap, post tips, which side of the line each mark sits (all centred unless the notes say otherwise), every callout.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
