Vortex EBR-7C MOA

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Subtensions

FFP; the sheets: 'subtensions measured in MOA and remain constant at all magnifications'. Built from the per-scope sheet(s) SE-52503_EBR-7C_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST, which override the EBR-7C reticle manuals: Vortex etches TWO EBR-7C layouts and the manuals draw only one. Published for these scopes: side bars from 30, 2 thick; bottom bar from 38; top line .11; centre dot .14; grid dots .2 and .3; vertical marks 2 long every 4 MOA, 1 every 2 MOA, .65 between; marks 1 MOA apart, .5 apart on the outer scale. This layout: bars from 30 MOA (ticked at 46) with the horizontal scale stopping at 24. Drawn, not published (the other callouts land on one scale, so the structure is read from the drawing): converted exactly from the vector outlines - every mark and which side of the line it hangs, the floating centre dot, the holdover dot grid (rows widening with depth), its dot pitch, the bar ticks, and the numerals. The centre scales are illuminated (drawn red). Lines and bars drawn to 50 MOA. Figures that do not land on the drawing, recorded as PUBLISHED: .14 centre dot: published 0.14, drawn 0.1300.

How this one was checked

Verified 9 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_SE-52503_EBR-7C_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1 (re-downloaded from the source URL the same day, byte-identical). Scale 3.6666 pt/MOA fitted to the grid rows, centre (198.0, 221.102) = the centre dot; geometry converted exactly from the vector outlines. Every published callout is checked in tools/build_vortex_wave2.py and lands except one, recorded as published: .14 centre dot: published 0.14, drawn 0.1300. Checklist walked: rows and extents, hash spacing, numerals, centre element and gap, post tips, which side of the line each mark sits (all centred unless the notes say otherwise), every callout.
