Vortex EBR-4 MRAD

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.

Subtensions

SFP; the sheet: subtensions 'correspond to the highest magnification' (24x). The centre section is illuminated (drawn red). Published: fine line .02, centre line .05, hashes .1 / .2 / .4, spaced .1 and .5; windage scale to 7.5 where the side posts start, .4 thick with a .6 mark; bottom post at 8; tree rows .5 and 1 wide. Drawn, not published: tree rows every 0.5 mil to 7 below centre, 1 mil wide at whole mils and .5 wide at half mils; numerals 2 / 4 / 6 on the horizontal and upper arms, 1-7 below. Posts drawn to 8.6 mil (the sheet's frame is 8.2).

How this one was checked

Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_SE-1628_EBR-4_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 21.993 pt/mil fitted to the tree-row / hash pitch, centre (198.43, 221.1); every published callout then lands (listed in tools/build_vortex_ebr4_se.py). Geometry converted exactly from the vector outlines - every rectilinear ink subpath cut into rectangles from its own vertex coordinates, each rectangle one element - so rows, widths, spacing, which side of the line each mark sits (all centred), gaps and extents are the drawing's own. Numeral positions from their glyph outlines. Bars reach the sheet's frame and are run on to 8.6 mil.

Subtensions are published by the manufacturer and reproduced here for reference. Confirm your own dope on a range before you rely on any of it. Harson.ai is not affiliated with Vortex.
