Vortex EBR-4 MOA

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.

Subtensions

SFP; the sheet: subtensions 'correspond to the highest magnification' (24x). The centre section is illuminated (drawn red). Published: fine line .078, centre line .162, hashes .75 and 1.5, 1 MOA apart in the red centre section and 0.5 apart outside it; windage scale to 20.5 where the side posts start, 1.5 thick with a 3 MOA mark; bottom post at 22; tree rows 1 / 4 / 8 wide. Drawn, not published: a tree row at every MOA from 2 to 20 - 8 wide at every 4th MOA, 4 wide at the other even MOA EXCEPT row 2, which is drawn 1 wide; 1 wide at odd MOA; numerals every 4 MOA. Posts drawn to 28 MOA (the sheet's frame is 26.4).

How this one was checked

Verified 8 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_SE-1627_EBR-4_MOA_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1. Scale 6.8218 pt/MOA fitted to the tree-row / hash pitch, centre (198.43, 221.1); every published callout then lands (listed in tools/build_vortex_ebr4_se.py). Geometry converted exactly from the vector outlines - every rectilinear ink subpath cut into rectangles from its own vertex coordinates, each rectangle one element - so rows, widths, spacing, which side of the line each mark sits (all centred), gaps and extents are the drawing's own. Numeral positions from their glyph outlines. Bars reach the sheet's frame and are run on to 28 MOA.

Subtensions are published by the manufacturer and reproduced here for reference. Confirm your own dope on a range before you rely on any of it. Harson.ai is not affiliated with Vortex.
