Drawn to scale from Hawke’s own specification sheet, and checked
mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Framed to about 40 MOA — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 179 MOA; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.
Hawke L4A Dot (2 MOA). SFP, true at 4x: '30 in spacing from center to post at 100yds when on 4x magnification. This is equivalent to 83cm at 100m.' PUBLISHED: 2 MOA illuminated dot, crosshair stopping 5 MOA from centre all round (a square gap), heavy posts left, right and below from 28.65 MOA. NO top post - the thin line runs to the field edge (drawn here to 120 MOA, far outside any hold). MEASURED off the CAD-exact drawing (unpublished): thin line 0.64 MOA, posts 3.2 MOA at 4x. One Hawke description page is shared by every scope listed, all of which reach 4x. Illumination colours differ by model: Vantage 30 WA red and green, Endurance and Frontier red only.
How this one was checked
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against Hawke's vector drawing L4A-Dot-2MOA.svg and L4A-Dot-2MOA-info.svg, read with tools/svg_shapes.py. Centre (305.750,305.750); scale 1.7081 SVG units per MOA fitted to the published 28.65 MOA right post; the other three published figures then land at bottom post 28.650, gap 5.000 (5) and dot 1.9999 (2). Walked: three posts and no top post, no hashes or numerals anywhere, floating dot in a square gap, square post ends, extents to the drawn field edge (the top line capped at 120 MOA, noted).
Use it on your own rifle
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it,
from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
