In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Drawn to scale from Athlon’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Framed to about 12 MRAD — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 40 MRAD; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.
Drawn from Athlon Optics’s published specification.
In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.
Official table: A1=0.02, A2=0.4, B1=0.2, B2=0.4, B3=0.3, C1=0.2, C2=0.5, C3=1, D1=0.05, D2=0.1. Drop-line dots drawn; individual (x,y) not tabulated.
Verified 16 Sep 2026 against page 3 of Athlon's own APMR FFP IR MIL reticle manual (Argos BTR GEN2), read as vector rectangles with tools/pdf_vectors.py and rebuilt by tools/build_athlon_apmr.py. Scale 7.7105 pt/mil, fitted jointly with the centre over 97 marks on a 0.5 mil grid; every mark lands within 0.06 mil of its grid position. Cross-checked independently: the red illuminated arms measure 69.45 pt in all four directions, which at the published 9 mil gives 7.7167 - agreement to 0.08%. ALL TEN published dimensions are accounted for in the geometry: A1 0.02 the cross line weight, A2 0.4 the post weight, B1 0.2 the dot spacing, B2 0.4 the gap between dot groups, B3 0.3 the fine mark length below centre, C1 0.2 the half-mil mark, C2 0.5 the whole-mil mark, C3 1 the tree row pitch, D1 0.05 the dot size, D2 0.1 the fine mark length left and right. STRUCTURE: cross to 9 mil on all four arms (Athlon publishes '18 mil span cross lines' and separately '9 mil span in hash marks from center to left and right, up and down'); black posts from 9.5 mil outward. Marks every 0.5 mil to 7, whole mils 0.5 long and half mils 0.2. Then marks every 0.2 mil from 7 to 9 on THREE arms only - left, right and down, exactly as the sheet says - 0.1 long on left and right, 0.3 long below centre. The up arm keeps its 0.5 mil pitch to 9 and has no fine band; mirroring the arms would be wrong. HOLD GRID: 150 square dots 0.05 mil across, nine rows at 1 mil from -1 to -9, half-widths 0.8 for rows 1-3, 1.8 for 4-5, 2.8 for 6-7 and 3.8 for 8-9, dots every 0.2 mil in 1-mil blocks with the whole mil left empty and the innermost dot at 0.4. Row counts measured 6/6/6/14/14/22/22/30/30 = 150 and the rebuild reproduces them exactly. WHAT THE OLD RECORD HAD WRONG: it drew the cross to 8 mil not 9, it put 0.2 mil marks along the whole arm instead of only between 7 and 9, and it had NO HOLD GRID AT ALL - its own note said 'Drop-line dots drawn; individual (x,y) not tabulated'. Two disagreements with the drawing, both resolved in favour of the published figure as usual: the cross draws 0.030 against a published 0.02, and the posts draw 0.557-0.578 against a published 0.4. Both are the familiar 'drawn heavier than published' gap the Leupold sheets also show.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
