ZeroTech THLR

Drawn to scale from ZeroTech’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

ZeroTech THLR — first focal plane, MRAD subtensions, 5–30×

In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Subtensions

ZeroTech THLR spec sheet, Trace Advanced, FFP MRAD. Published dimensions (mil): A=0.145 centre dot, B=1.0 tick pitch, C=0.2, D=1.0 centre box, E=0.145 (1.4 mil tick), F=0.4 / G=0.6 / H=0.8 / I=1.0 / J=2.0 (the 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mil tick lengths), K=1.0 post width, L=1.0 (5 mil tick to chevron tip), M=5.0 and N=2.0 (the 2 mil bar 5 mil below centre), O=0.4 / P=0.1 / R=0.25 (the bracketed floating dot 1 mil below), Q=0.5, S=0.2 / T=0.2 (fine tick length). Thicknesses 1-15 as published: 0.06, 0.03, 0.03, 0.04, 0.07, 0.07, 0.07, 0.145, 0.06, 0.03, 0.145, 0.03, 0.02, 0.04, 0.04. Windage: crosshair line from 0.4 to 5.5 mil with 0.2 mil ticks to 1.8, graded whole-mil ticks, half-mil ticks at 2.5/3.5/4.5, then a chevron from 6 to 7 and a 1 mil post. Elevation carries no line: a ladder of 0.2 mil ticks to 1.4 both ways, the floating dot at 1 mil down, a chevron from 1.6 to 2.6, the 1 mil post, and the 2 mil bar at 5.

How this one was checked

Verified 14 Sep 2026 against ZeroTech's own THLR spec sheet (resources.zerotechoptics.com/images/reticleManuals/thlr-specs.pdf) by reading the PDF's vector shapes and stroke widths with pymupdf. SCALE from the drawing: the whole-mil ticks sit on a 28.34 pt pitch and B=1.0 mil is published, so 1 mil = 28.34 pt; the magnified inset independently gives 87.05 pt/mil with its own 0.2 mil ticks and 1.0 mil box edge landing where they should. THE RECORD WAS A PLACEHOLDER: forty identical 0.2 mil ticks to +-10 on both axes at one weight, no centre dot, no box, no posts, no chevrons, no floating dot, no 5 mil bar - none of the reticle's actual structure. Rebuilt from the sheet. LETTERS PLACED BY MEASUREMENT: A the centre dot; B the tick pitch (drawn 1.000); D the 1.0 mil box (edges drawn at +-0.50, thickness 13=0.02); F/G/H/I/J the 1/2/3/4/5 mil tick lengths, drawn 0.36/0.56/0.76/0.96/1.96 against 0.4/0.6/0.8/1.0/2.0, every one within 0.04 and all in the published order, carrying thicknesses 4/5/6/7/8 as labelled; E the 1.4 mil tick (drawn 0.18, thickness 15); K the post, drawn exactly 1.000 wide; L the gap from the 5 mil tick to the chevron tip (drawn 5.07 to 6.01); M and N the 2.0 mil bar at 5.0 mil down (drawn 2.00 at 5.00, thickness 11=0.145); P/O/R the bracketed floating dot at 1.0 mil down; S/T the fine tick length (drawn 0.15 against 0.2 - the finest marks are under-drawn on every maker's sheet in this library, so the published 0.2 is used). Crosshair line weights are read from the strokes and agree with the table exactly: 0.06 inside 1 mil (#1), 0.03 from 1 to 2 (#2), 0.06 from 2 to 5.5 (#9). TWO LETTERS ARE NOT TIED TO A MEASURED FEATURE: C=0.2 and Q=0.5. Both are small spacings near features that are already fixed by other letters (the line begins at 0.40, the chevrons at 6.0 and 1.6), so nothing a shooter holds on depends on them. The half-mil ticks at 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 carry no letter; their drawn 0.30 mil length is used. The bracket arcs are drawn at the published 0.4 mil span; their 0.25 mil height (R) is approximated by a 110 degree arc. Post outer ends are the field-of-view edge, not a dimension.
