In the second focal plane the subtensions are only true at one magnification — check your manual for which, and dial there before you hold.

Drawn to scale from ZeroTech’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

ZeroTech PHR3 spec sheet page 2, 3-9x40. Published: A=5 MOA, B=0.25, C=1.1, D=5, E=10, F=0.2 fine line, G=1.0 horizontal post, H=0.8 vertical post. SFP, true at 9x. Same geometry as the 3-12 page; only the line weights differ.
Verified 14 Sep 2026 against ZeroTech's own PHR3 spec sheet (resources.zerotechoptics.com/images/reticleManuals/phr3-specs.pdf) by reading the PDF's vector shapes with pymupdf. Two dimensioned pages, one per scope, plus an illumination page. SCALE, derived twice and agreeing both times: on the 3-12 page the post measures 3.53 pt against a published G of 0.8 MOA, giving 4.41 pt/MOA, and the post's inner tip then sits at 44.1 pt = 10.00 MOA, which is the published E. On the 3-9 page the post measures 3.268 pt against G=1.0, giving 3.27 pt/MOA, and its inner tip lands at 9.98 MOA. Both pages then read identically in MOA. THE RECORD WAS BADLY WRONG. It had no fine aiming line at all: the sheet draws a fine stroke from 5 to 10 MOA on every arm - measured -10.01..-5.03 and +4.98..+9.98 at exactly the published F weight - and none of it was in the record. Its vertical posts also began at 2.5 MOA instead of 10, so the whole 2.5-to-10 MOA span of the elevation arm was buried under a post. The centre cross started at 0.55 MOA instead of the published C=1.1, and a 0.25 MOA centre DOT was drawn that does not exist on any of the three pages. STRUCTURE, all four arms alike: an illuminated centre cross from 1.1 to 2.5 MOA (page 3 prints exactly that cross in red and nothing else), open from 2.5 to 5, a fine stroke from 5 to 10, then the post. Letters accounted for: A=5 and D=5 are where the fine stroke begins, C=1.1 where the centre cross begins, E=10 where the post begins, F the fine weight, G the horizontal post weight. TWO LETTERS COULD NOT BE TIED TO A DRAWN FEATURE, and both are line weights rather than holds. B (0.25 MOA) matches nothing measured; the illuminated cross is drawn at the same weight as the fine line, so B is taken as its published weight on the same basis the makers under-draw their finest element elsewhere in this project. H (0.8 MOA) matches the vertical post on the 3-12 page but not on the 3-9 page, where both posts are drawn at 1.0; the published 0.8 is used there, because the table has been authoritative over the art everywhere else on these sheets. Nothing a shooter holds on depends on either. The post's outer end at 50 MOA is where the sheet's field-of-view circle cuts it and is not a published dimension.
