In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.
Reticle library · Schmidt & Bender
Drawn to scale from Schmidt & Bender’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Framed to about 12 MRAD — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 60 MRAD; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.
Drawn from Schmidt & Bender GmbH & Co. KG’s published specification.
In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.
First focal plane, mrad: heavy posts left, right and below, thin cross, open top, and an illuminated dot at the centre. From S&B's dimensioned reticle data sheet for this scope. A 14 between the post tips, B 0.67 post, C 0.067 line, D 0.276 dot. The bottom post tip (7, = A/2) is not lettered; measured from the drawing. The field at lowest magnification is 66.5 mrad; the thin line is drawn to 50 mrad and the posts to 60 here (app plausibility limits).
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against Schmidt-Bender-Datasheet-FD7-FFP-3-12x50-Zenith.pdf, pages 2 and 3. Vector drawing, measured on fill geometry only. Page 2 centre from the crossing of the thin lines, scale from A (left/right post tips) = 19.869 pt/mrad; page 3 lowest-magnification view the same way, 2.074 pt/mrad. Measured: post 0.670, line 0.066, dot 0.276, bottom tip 7.00. The record was rasterised as the app draws it and XOR-compared with page 2 at 600 dpi: inside the page-2 frame nothing disagrees beyond 2 px except the sheet's own dimension arrowheads; the post and line extents beyond that frame were checked against the field edge on page 3 (re-checked 8 Oct 2026 in review). No marks or numerals on this reticle; post tips square.
Harson Ballistics draws this reticle at your magnification with your holdover marked on it, from your rifle, load and conditions. Works with no signal and no account.
