Drawn to scale from Schmidt & Bender’s own specification sheet, and checked
mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Schmidt & Bender FD7 — second focal plane, MRAD subtensions
Framed to about 12 MRAD — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 56.2 MRAD; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.
Second focal plane, mrad, values at the scope's top magnification (the sheet's column for it): heavy posts left, right and below, thin cross, open top, illuminated centre dot. From S&B's dimensioned reticle data sheet for this scope. At 4x: A 14.28 between the post tips, B 1.53 post, C 0.15 line, D 0.2 dot (1.1x: 51.9 / 5.565 / 0.56 / 0.74; 2x: 28.57 / 3.06 / 0.31 / 0.41). The bottom post tip (7.14, = A/2) is not lettered; measured from the drawing. The field at lowest magnification is 56.2 mrad; the thin line is drawn to 50 mrad and the posts to 60 here (app plausibility limits).
How this one was checked
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against Schmidt-Bender-Datasheet-FD7-SFP-1_1-4x24-Zenith.pdf, pages 2 and 3. Vector drawing, measured on fill geometry only. Page 2 centre from the crossing of the thin lines, scale from A (left/right post tips) = 13.703 pt/mrad; page 3 lowest-magnification view the same way, 4.000 pt/mrad. Drawn at 4x: post 1.530, line 0.155, dot 0.20. Page 3 is one view 'at all magnification'; field edge 56.2 at 4x. The record was rasterised as the app draws it and XOR-compared with page 2 at 600 dpi: inside the page-2 frame nothing disagrees beyond 2 px except the sheet's own dimension arrowheads; the post and line extents beyond that frame were checked against the field edge on page 3 (re-checked 8 Oct 2026 in review). No marks or numerals on this reticle; post tips square.
