In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Drawn to scale from Kahles’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Drawn from KAHLES GmbH’s published specification.

Kahles' SKMR4 sheet, 17.01 pt/mil. Posts (left, right, top) 0.3 thick from 8 mil (16 MIL and 8 MIL callouts) with a 0.5 tick every whole mil; christmas tree rows every 1 mil from 1 to 14 below centre, row n spanning +/- n/2 mil (measured, not lettered), whole-mil ticks 0.15 across each row (detail A callout), half-mil ticks hanging 0.088 below it (measured). Centre gap 0.145 to each line end; red line stops at 7.93, black post tick at 8. Row 15 exists on the reticle but is cut by the sheet's field of view; not drawn (its width is not on the sheet and is not extrapolated). The stem and the posts stop at the edge of the sheet's field of view (15.75 mil radius), a drawing extent, not the reticle's end; the row-14 numeral sits outside that field and is not drawn. Built from the sheet's own vector geometry (filled CAD outlines, read exactly) at a scale fitted to the published 1 MIL graduation. Published and drawn: 0.035 line and centre dot, whole-mil marks 0.5 long, half-mil marks on the stem 0.25, 0.2 mil graduation with 0.07 one-sided ticks whose side alternates and is recorded mark by mark, and a 0.1 mil scale between 3 and 4 mil on every arm. Measured from the drawing, no callout: the gap around the centre dot and where the red line stops short of the black post. Numerals 0.3 high on the sheet (drawn here at font size 0.4, the sheet's own font size), placed where the sheet puts them. Red parts of the sheet are marked illuminated, black posts are not.
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against Kahles' SKMR4 K318i/K525i sheet (SKMR4_K318i_K525i.PDF, 02023011293-106): page 1 (clean reticle) read as filled vector outlines, rasterised at 200 px/mil with the outline stroke left out, scale 17.01 pt/mil fitted to the 1 MIL graduation (majors land at +/-1.000..7.003), centre = the 0.035 dot. Page 2 callouts walked one by one and each found in the geometry: 16 MIL horizontal post ends +/-7.99; 8 MIL top post 7.99; 1 MIL and 0,2 MIL graduation; 0,1 MIL scale between 3 and 4 mil on all four arms (it is the 0,1 dimension beside tree row 4, between row 4 and the stem tick at 3.9); 0,5 MIL whole-mil marks (0.505) and post ticks (0.50); 0,25 MIL half-mil marks on the stem (0.245); 0,3 MIL post thickness (0.305) and numeral height (0.32-0.34); 0,07 MIL = line centre to tip of a one-sided tick (page-2 arrows sit on the line centre and the tick end; drawn 0.072-0.078); 0,15 = whole-mil tick across a tree row (drawn 0.17, published figure used); detail A 0,2 / 0,5 = first stem tick and half-mil tick below a tree row; 0,035 line and dot. SIDE of every one-sided mark measured: horizontal .2/.8 below the line, .4/.6 crossing; stem .2/.8 right, .4/.6 left, .5 crossing; the 3-4 mil scale .1 L/up, .2 R/dn, .3 R/dn, .4 L/up, .5 crossing, .6 L/up, .7 R/dn, .8 R/dn, .9 L/up; tree half-mil ticks hang below the row. Rows 1-14 drawn, row n +/- n/2 measured to 0.015. Row 15 exists on the reticle but is cut by the sheet's field of view; not drawn. Stem and posts stop at the sheet's field edge (15.75), a drawing extent. Numerals 2-8 and 10/15 below the horizontal, 2-12 left of the tree, positions measured. Rendered with tools/render_reticle.py and compared side by side with page 1 and detail A. Not lettered, measured: centre gap 0.145, half-mil tree tick 0.088, red line end 7.93.
