Drawn to scale from Burris’s own specification sheet, and checked
mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.
Burris G2B Mil-Dot — second focal plane, MRAD subtensions, 4.5–14×
Framed to about 12 MRAD — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 30 MRAD; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.
Official Droptine user guide, 'G2B Mil Dot Reticle', PDF page 11 (printed 10). 'Subtensions shown for High Power Magnification' - this reticle ships only in the Droptine 4.5-14x42 (Burris item 200078, discontinued), so it holds at 14x. Published (mRad): A 10 between the post tips, B 0.5 post, C 0.5 hash length, D 0.2 dot, E 0.06, F 0.5 dot-to-hash, G 1 dot-to-dot, H 0.06 hash, J 0.06 line, K 5 post tip to cross-mark, L 2 cross-mark length. Dots on every whole mil 1-4, hashes on the half mils 0.5-4.5, both axes; posts from 5 mil with a 2 mil cross-mark at 10 mil on all four. E is in the table but its letter is not placed on the drawing; its value equals H and J, so every fine weight is 0.06 whichever line it names. The cross-mark weight is not published and is drawn at the sheet's 0.048. Posts are drawn to 30 mil as a display convention - on the glass they run to the edge of the field.
How this one was checked
Verified 8 Oct 2026 against Burris's Droptine user guide (specs/burris/droptine_userguide.pdf, PDF page 11, 'G2B Mil Dot Reticle') by reading the vector artwork with pymupdf (tools/pdf_vectors.py). The sheet is a to-scale CAD drawing: one scale, 8.0261 pt/mrad about (134.184, 282.698), fitted to A = 10 mrad between the post tips (all four tips at 40.130-40.131 pt from centre), lands every other lettered value independently - B post 0.4995, C hash 0.490, D dot 0.188, F dot-to-hash 0.500, G dot pitch 1.000 (dots at 1.000/1.999/3.001/4.000 on all four arms), K tip-to-mark 5.00, L cross-mark 1.998. Fine weights are under-drawn (0.039 against a published 0.06) and the published figure is recorded. Checklist: (1) plain crosshair, four posts, no tree; (2) hashes at 0.5-4.5 and dots at 1-4 on all four arms, no fine sub-scale; (3) no numerals on the reticle; (4) no centre dot or gap - both lines run continuously through centre; (5) post inner ends square on all four arms (rectangles from exactly 5.000); (6) fine lines +/-5 both axes, posts beyond, artwork clipped at 11.94; (7) letters A B C D F G H J K L each found in the geometry, E not placed on the sheet (value equal to H and J); (8) every hash and cross-mark is centred on its line (+/-0.244 and +/-0.999), not one-sided. Taken from the drawing because the page does not state it: the cross-mark weight, 0.048.
